A patient centered practice committed to making your child's dental experience a positive memory.
Philosophy
Our goal is to provide your child with quality dental care in a nurturing environment. We sincerely believe that we provide a positive dental experience that will help your child achieve optimal dental health and positive dental memories for a lifetime.
In our office, each child is recognized as a special person with their own needs. We encourage their active participation in the visit by asking questions about school, hobbies, friends, or anything special they would like to share with us. Before any procedures are started, we show and tell your child what we are going to do. This relaxed approach helps relieve anxiety there may be about the visit.
Our staff is one of the most positive contributions to our practice. We take great pride in each team member's training and capabilities in working with children and their parents. We have wonderful people who will help make visits memorable.
Treating your child entails the development of a relationship not only between your child and our staff, but between you and your child and our staff. Therefore, we encourage parental participation in regard to children's dental health and will stress education and prevention.
We will provide educational, supportive and experienced dental care for your child from infancy through adolescence.
Meet the Doctor
Dr. Jennifer K. Hargleroad grew up in west central Nebraska in the town of North Platte. She first moved to Fort Collins when she attended Colorado State University. In 1994, she graduated from CSU with a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked for the city of Ft. Collins during her time here as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at the city pools. She returned to Nebraska to pursue her dental education where she graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000. In July of 2000 she began her post-graduate residency in Pediatric Dentistry at The Ohio State University and Columbus Children's Hospital. Dr. Hargleroad completed her training in conjunction with receiving a Master of Science degree in June of 2002. After completing her residency, she associated with a pediatric dental practice in Overland Park, KS. She practiced there for three years before deciding to come back to Fort Collins to begin her own practice.
Dr. Hargleroad has volunteered often to help serve those in need. While in dental school, Dr. Hargleroad made numerous trips to Honduras to provide dental care in free clinics to underprivileged children. While practicing pediatric dentistry in Kansas City, she volunteered her services at several Kansas Mission of Mercy projects, which provided free dental services on a first come/first served basis. She continues to be an advocate for children and children's health organizations.
Hiking, baking and knitting occupy much of her free time. Dr. Hargleroad's favorite activity, however, is enjoying the company of her husband Deems, her twin boys, Alexander and Benjamin and their black lab, Ellie.

Office Hours
Our office is open Tuesday through Friday by appointment.
Appointments
The scheduled appointment is reserved specifically for your child. If you must cancel your appointment, kindly give at least 24 hours notice so that we may accommodate another child. As a courtesy, staff attempts to confirm one to two days before the scheduled visit. If you have two (2) broken or missed appointments without a 24 hour notice, we reserve the right to NOT schedule any subsequent appointments. Also, if you arrive 10-15 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule for the next available appointment time. We do our best to remain on schedule so that we may see your child promptly at their scheduled time. Our schedule may be delayed in order to accommodate an injured child. Please accept our apologies in advance should an accident occur during your child’s appointment. The same attention will be given to your child, should he/she be involved in an accident.
A parent or legal guardian (with proper documentation) MUST be present during the initial examination and any subsequent appointments.
We will try to schedule all restorative appointments (fillings, extractions, etc) when your child is at their best. For younger children, this is typically in the morning when they are well rested.
Payment Options
Please understand that payment of your bill is considered a part of your child’s treatment. Payment is due at each visit for services rendered. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
For our patients with dental insurance, we are happy to submit your claim and file to most dental insurance companies as a courtesy. We ask that you bring your insurance card and benefit booklet to your initial visit. Please be familiar with your insurance benefits so that you may receive the maximum coverage. We ask that you pay for the non-covered portion at the time of service, unless other arrangements have been made. We will promptly file your insurance to expedite payment. However, if you have an unpaid balance on your account after 30 days, you will be billed and payment will be expected at that time.
While many people think their dental insurance “covers everything,” most plans have some restrictions - either in the amount they pay or in the services “covered.” Since our office works with hundreds of insurance plans, it is impossible for our staff members to know the details of your plan. We have no control over how much of our fees or which services are covered by your plan. If your child needs treatment other than routine/preventative care, we will give you a written estimate at no cost. This allows you to contact your insurance company to determine your benefits. We recommend that you become directly involved with your insurance company to assure prompt payment to your account.
Dr. Hargleroad's treatment recommendations are based on what she believes is in your child's best interest rather than on what your insurance covers.
